Personalized Genomic Medicine Counseling

Thinking about how your lifestyle, environment, or genes are affecting your health? Worried about the safety and the efficacy of drugs on you? Have questions about taking preventative health tests? We can provide some insights on how to approach it, give you options of what tests are available and work with your physician on getting the answers you want.

Rate: $150/hour

General chat in General genetics or a specific question

Have a simple question about genetics or genetic testing in general? Our certified genetic counselor will discuss your question with you to help provide some insight.

This option is not a genetic counseling session and does not provide personalized information.

The rate for a general talk with our genetic counselor is $50 every 30 min.

Genetic counseling in General Care

Concerned about your family history? Have a genetic problem that requires planning and personalized care? This option is for patients who worry about genetic diseases and need genetic counseling.

Genetic Counseling is a big field with many specializations ranging from family planning to cancer. Genetic Counseling in General Care provides initial counseling which gives you an understanding of your situation. Depending on your situation, a further specialized counseling session may be needed.

If you believe that you know what specialized counseling you need, you may find genetic counselors directly from NSGC.

Basic Genetic Counseling Session: $300 (1 Hour)
For Extended Sessions: $100 every additional 30 min

Group discussion on a selected topic

Group counseling is a great, cost-effective way to genetic counseling about a specific question regarding a genetic condition. It’s a great way to share your questions and learn from other people’s valuable questions you may not have thought of. Based on demand, we will hold group counseling sessions. Group Genetic Counseling Session: $30 for every 30 minutes
Each session must have a minimum of 5 people and maximum of 10.

***Due to the law, group counseling sessions do not include discussion of group members’ personal information or family history. We discuss in examples.
